Lowestoft Rising and Solutions
Lowestoft Rising comprises a group of five public sector partners:
- Suffolk Police
- Suffolk Police and Crime Commissioner’s office
- East Suffolk Council
- Suffolk County Council
- NHS Great Yarmouth and Waveney Clinical Commissioning Group
Its aim is to create a significantly improved quality of life for everybody growing up, living in, working in, visiting and investing in Lowestoft.
Lowestoft Rising is not a project, a scheme or an initiative – it is a radical new approach to delivering public sector services in a specific area and turning Lowestoft into a town where everyone fulfils their true potential.
This will be achieved by creating an environment where public sector organisations work together in innovative ways to deliver better services and bring about long-term change for local people.
Solutions is our Lowestoft Social Prescribing project and is run by North East Suffolk Citizen Advice Bureau (NESCAB). Every GP surgery has fortnightly appointments with Solutions advisers who can help people with a whole range of social problems that could impact on their health. We know by tackling these non-medical issues alongside medical ones we can improve the lives of people more. GPs or clinical staff in the surgery can make appointments with Solutions.
Solutions also has a large directory of available resources in the Lowestoft area to help people find the right kind of help, support or activity to make life better.
If you would like to find out about the resources in your area, view the Solutions Directory.
